Bought this tv for $2400 when compared with a panasonic hd for $3600 when. looked over circuit city to watch where did they compared but signal were good on hand. other philips models at greatest coupe looked awesome thus decide to test it out. Was going to buy the pany ED model for $2000 however , when i saw the philips for 400 more would not pass this.
got it home and wow!!! discovery HD a coral reef show which may knock your socks off . Wife even said this is ideal thing we ever bought. great color plenty bright loads of inputs even USB slide shows of jpgs' and plays mp3's off from thumb drive.
speakers even sound well enough for day use but no fancy surround modes. TV even looks good on regular cable and stretches pics to fill screen automatically when you wish.
was particular scared to acquire the phillips because so many reviews on net use pioneer or panasonic as well as the price you will be happy.
some sites show this tv as black frame with silver speakers but mine arrived in all silver.
